To remind members that there are good, healthy habits they can develop without doing harm to their bodies.

Thank God for keeping you free from colds and flu.  And now do your part.
  1. Wash your hands , Wash your hands    
  2. Always keep hand sanitizer, so if you cannot get to water and soap, at least you will have some protection.
  3. Don't cover your sneezes and coughs with your hands.  Use a tissue or sneeze into the inside of your elbow. Be sure to throw the tissue away immediately.  Viruses cling to your bare hands.
  4. Keep your hands off of your face, viruses enter your body thru eyes, nose or mouth.
  5. Do aerobic exercises regularly.  These exercises help increase the body natural virus killing cells.
  6. Eat lots of plant foods.  Especially dark green (kale) vegetables and fruits.
  7. Relax (if possible) at least 30 minutes a day.
Drink a ginger/green tea drink every day.
Buy raw ginger root ( at the produce aisle)
Peel one inch (!") piece and boil for 10 minutes in one(1) cup water
Buy green tea bags place in cup and pour ginger water over bag
Sweeten with stevia or honey to taste
Relax and enjoy


Place one (1) tablespoon of olive oil in large pot (cook on medium heat)
Add 8 oz. of sliced sausage or ground sausage & brown
Dice 1 onion (med) 2-4 garlic cloves(diced) add to meat
Chop 2-3 peeled fresh carrots add to pot
Pour 4-6 cups veg broth to pot
1/2 tsp sage, 2 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Chop 1 lb. Yukon gold potato bite size add to soup
Wash and chop 12 oz. fresh kale put in pot
Stir in 14 1/2 oz. can diced tomato (fire roasted)
Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes
Stir in 1 drained canned of cannelloni or kidney beans for about 5 min.
Eat and Enjoy as you strengthen your immune system.
